Deer Creek Public Schools Bond Issue 2016 Wins Annual Award; AGC Build Oklahoma Award in the $50M+ Education Category
CMSWillowbrook is excited to announce that the Deer Creek Public Schools, Bond Issue 2016 won in the $50M+ Education category awarded by the Association of General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGCOK)! The AGC of Oklahoma is a statewide, full service, non- profit organization for construction professionals. AGC member contractors are recognized as the leaders of construction performing over 80% of all commercial and industrial construction work in the state. The Build Oklahoma awards represents the Best in commercial building projects in Oklahoma for that year.
CMSWillowbrook had the opportunity to work with MA+ Architecture on this bond consisting of 9 different projects. There are several key elements that make the projects so unique. The bond as a whole had a total construction cost of over $75M and the project totaled 486,838 SF. The construction projects included two elementary interior renovations, two added storm shelters, two security vestibules, a 2nd story to the middle school, two elementary school additions, an addition to the Performing Arts Center, and a new 207,000 SF 4th and 5th Grade Center. The work was completed with a total of 388,376 man hours. The new school square footage created much needed additional educational space for the district and allowed them to redistrict to meet their needs for growth.
