CMSWillowbrook Wins Build Oklahoma Award in $50M Education Category

CMSWillowbrook is honored to have been awarded a Build Oklahoma Award by the Association General Contractors of Oklahoma (AGC OK). Our projects built for Mid Del Public Schools, won the award in the $50M+ Education Category. The AGC of Oklahoma is a statewide, full service, non- profit organization for construction professionals. AGC member contractors are recognized as the leaders of construction performing over 80% of all commercial and industrial construction work in the state. The Build Oklahoma awards represents the Best in commercial building projects in Oklahoma for that year.

CMSWillowbrook was hired for Mid-Del Public Schools $130 million bond in 2017 and the projects completed in 2021. We performed pre-bond planning and promotion services, including coordinating seven architects. We then coordinated and managed the construction of numerous projects including storm shelters, various additions/renovations, athletic facility improvements, performing arts centers additions/renovations and drainage improvements.

We partnered with the following architects for these projects; LWPB Architects, Design Architects Plus, Michael McCoy Architects, Mass Architects, AGP (Abla Griffin Partnership LLC), Dezign Partnerships, Inc., and WPM Design Group.

Dr. Rick Cobb, Superintendent of Mid Del Public Schools, complimented CMSWillowbrook on managing the projects in Bond 35. “Bond 35 included more than a dozen construction projects, which were quite varied in size and scope,” said Dr. Cobb. “They completely transformed some of our classroom spaces and public venues. CMSWillowbrook managed the chaos, kept our projects on track during turbulent times, and helped our students and staff face as little disruption as possible.”

Rick Watts, Project Director,  for CMSWillowbrook reflects on his experience working on Bond 35. “We are so pleased to have been involved in all of these projects,” said Watts. “It was a huge undertaking with a positive outcome not only from our fantastic “TEAM” but the owner and their representatives, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors involved with these projects.”
